Sheila Jackson Lee Only but a word, beautiful, could ever say who she was, who this lady, Sheila Jackson Lee was meant to be, and who she is. She is indeed, an eloquent, splendorous lady who has blended her voice and touched her life upon the legendary face of Black History. Honorably elected as Congresswoman, Sheila walked through the grandeur halls on Capitol Hill and took her respective seat in the US House of Representatives in the year 1994. It was a moment where America needed someone named Sheila Jackson Lee. It was a shallow place where someone had to stand up and make us all remember that there was yet something called the Constitution. This glorious idea written by America's forefathers was the elusive dream that our Black legendary faces had fought for with tears, blood and dignity. Sheila Lee stood up in Congress and retold this story about our civil rights that was yet meant to be endowed amongst all the people. With a voice that speaks in a tone of musical refinement, we will forever hear the voice of Sheila Jackson Lee speaking out on Capitol Hill. Unrelenting, this lady from Houston, Texas, has spoken out and identified her tone as an ardent warrior who will defend the honor of human right with all that she is. And she is accredited with achieving many legislative accomplishments, which testifies to her active involvement in Congress. Perhaps, beyond it all, Sheila speaks out vociferously for economic progression among the haplessly affected lower and middle income Americans. Sheila Jackson Lee will yet speak on. In the years that follow, her fervent stance for minorities, the elderly, women's rights, health and juvenile justice will serve to further glorify our Black history. And the adroit legislation she passed to donate surplus computers and scientific equipment to elementary and secondary schools will always recite who she was. Sheila will stay here for evermore and never be forgotten. |

| It will ever prevail throughout Black History what stupendous intellect this Black Congresswoman displayed as she sat upon the Judiciary Committee during the 1998 impeachment process of President Bill Clinton. Here as Sheila Jackson Lee spoke with eloquent opposition of her Republican friends across the aisle, she sat there poised in her severe African American hairstyle flaunting a miniature pamphlet in her hand, which dramatically extolled the Constitution of the United States. It was a masterpiece. It was absolutely a superb moment stored somewhere in history. This great lady has painted us a portrait that will never be cast aside. My lady, Sheila Jackson Lee, we bow to thee, and recite to thee, only but a word . . . beautiful. |
